About Fire Cupping & Gua Sha
In fire cupping, a flame briefly heats the air inside a glass cup, which is then placed on the skin to create gentle suction. Gua sha uses a smooth-edged tool stroked along oiled skin. Both are long-standing TCM techniques.
Chinese fire cupping or gua sha costs AED 180 per session. Full body gua sha is a 60-minute treatment for AED 360.
What the treatment involves
The flame never touches your skin; it is only used to heat the cup before it is applied. Cups stay in place for several minutes or are slid along oiled skin.
Gua sha strokes are firm but should never be painful. Your therapist adjusts the pressure as they go.
